Stardust Seamaster 30

Stardust is a 1974/75(ish) Seamaster 30. Lovingly restored by David James, a boat builder and BSS examiner just 2 years ago.

New price £15.500

She had both engines stripped and rebuilt and they have 240 hours on them over the past two years. She is packed to the gills with lots of spare parts as the previous owner was going to take her over to France.

She had her anodes and anti-fouling sorted in November 2020 when I purchased her.

She has two Thornycroft Commander 50HP 2.5 litre engines, handles like a dream, and the fuel and water tanks have been replaced. She has all the bells and whistles to go coastal.

2 berths in the bow, 2 in the Captain’s cabin in the stern as well as a sink and a converted double in the main cabin.  We’ve slept 5 easily, but you could have 6  if you put the kids in the bow.

Toilet and shower head from the sink. Hot water

Ethanol hobs which work really well and are very efficient

Great Waeco Fridge which is fairly new, which cools and freezes really quickly( don’t put the wine in the freezer before you set off!)

Eberspacher diesel heating, I slept in it when it was -2 outside and I survived.

She’s a bit dirty on the outside and needs a scrub which I’ll do before the sale, but every time I go to do it, I end up taking her out instead.

She’s moored in the Thames and Kennet Marina, in Reading and I spoke to them yesterday, they do have free moorings available.

I’m reluctantly selling her because I have friends who go upstream of Oxford and into the Kennet and Avon and my Stardust is too high to get up there . Happy to take anyone out for a test drive at the weekends, and I’m free most days for viewings  and a chat
