Reasons why you should consider joining the Seamaster Club:
The Club’s website has won accolades from many quarters and provides a wealth of information about the Seamaster Range. A ‘members’ area allows members to search for information and share experience and expertise with other Club members.
A quarterly Magazine keeps members in touch with each other, includes articles of interest to our wide range of members across the UK and further afield, and passes on tips and advice that is often not available anywhere else. Club publications, such as the popular ‘Guide to Seamaster Boats’ and ‘The Seamaster Story’ are also available, at a nominal cost, to Club members as are pennants, clothing and logos.
Technical advice can be sought, completely free of charge, from Officers of the Club, and you will have access to engine manuals, wiring diagrams, design specifications and so on.
Through membership of the Club members can reduce the cost of their marine insurance and can be directed to a host of companies supplying many parts suitable for Seamasters, many of whom give discounts to Club members.
Each member of the Club is allocated to an area of the UK, and Area Coordinators who provide a local focal point for advice, etc, and in many areas arrange both afloat and ashore meetings and activities for those who wish to take part in such events.
The Club’s AGM weekend, in November of each year, gives members a chance to meet the Committee, join the Committee if they choose, buy and sell spares and accessories, view and buy Club merchandise, hear talks from relevant experts and generally share experiences with other Seamaster owners.
And finally, the most compelling reason to join the Seamaster Club is the economic advantage it brings. Unchanged since the Club’s formation, the yearly membership fee of £26 applies ‘per boat’ – meaning the skipper and her crew all become members of the Club for one single fee. Membership of the club, as previously mentioned, gives access to discounts on goods and services which enable members to save much more than their £26 membership fee in any one year.
The Seamaster Club was founded on 25th January 1992 by our current President, Mrs. Jane Wall, and her late husband Wilf. The Club is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the Association of Thames Yacht Clubs (ATYC), the Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs (AWCC), the Inland Waterways Association (IWA), the National Association of Boat Owners (NABO), Great Ouse Boating Association (GOBA), The Norfolk and Suffolk Boating Association (NSBA) and the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland (IWAI).
