Le Phare: built 1968, based on a Seamaster Commodore but with a unique configuration of
twin Newage 2.2 Diesels in the stern, driving through V-drives. This gives a nice open cockpit
area at the expense of the rear cabin. The cockpit seats fold down to make a third double berth.
Dried out from 2010 through to 2013, extensive hull repairs were carried out with vacuum
impregnated epoxy, finished with six coats of epoxy/glass bead paint.
Two new batteries were fitted in Aug 2020, Lying in Cardiff Marina, Welsh border covid closure
meant this was the only visit for 12 months, resulting in some deterioration. Both engines run
with good oil pressure.
